REVIEW: Lily Moore | The Lexington Headline

Lily Moore performed her largest headline to date at North London’s renowned Lexington. She announced the show before she had even performed her first headline at The Slaughtered Lamb last month, and announced her next Omeara show for October too, a clear sign that her fan base is growing at warp speed.

The setlist contained a mixture of unreleased and released songs, but the gig’s best moments for the crowd was when Lily performed tracks from her recently released debut EP ‘Not That Special,’ including title track which Lily ironically deemed was the most special one to her. Other songs include ’17,’ a bright song perfectly encompassing Lily’s young about wanting to stay 17, it being an easier time, a sentiment many in the audience I’m sure could share!

This was Lily’s first London show with a full band. Previously it had just being her on the acoustic guitar and accompanist Beau Holland on the electric and keys behind her. But The Lexington headline saw a special full band set up which included a drummer and bass guitarist giving her that extra special edge to make her songs all rounded.

Lily is to embark on her first ever headline tour in the latter part of 2018, including a show at London’s Omeara on 2nd October. Get your tickets here!
