Rachel K Collier brought the nightclub vibe to an early evening set for BBC’s first showcase of the week, representing electronic music for the UK.

Even when she is not singing centre stage, she is still mesmerising when mixing behind her grand set up of numerous synths and keys surrounding her. Her partner in crime Rhii Williams joined her on stage delivering funky percussions, which contrasted yet complimented Rachel’s electronic productions.

Rachel’s ability to get the crowd to dance with her was one of a kind, that too early on in the night. A memorable moment of the set was her song ‘Paper Tiger,’ which has a particularly anthemic vibe to it, and the energy she brought to this one stood out.

Instant associations with Ableton are made with Rachel, due to her avid use of the software to create her music but also the work she does with the company, including a trip to India she took directly after the festival to teach young women the software.
