Ought are a band straight from Canada set to take over the US rock scene, as they performed at Austin’s popular Sidewinder venue at this year’s SXSW.

Having released their latest album ‘Room Inside The World’ just days prior to the festival, they had fresh new material to deliver to fans old and new.

Ought’s first two albums released between 2014 – 2015 took a more traditional, guitar heavy punk sound, however after taking some years to rebrand their sound, the time taken was worth it for this newly developed approach to rock.

Their new material takes advantage of the sounds that modern production and technology allows emerging bands to use, though keeping true to their rock inspired characteristics, still incorporating the guitar a great deal, only more ambient. Their music also shows a certain awareness for the world, evident by the title of the album too.
