Frank Turner returned to SXSW for the ninth year in a row…… WOW!

Whilst it’s safe to say Turner doesn’t need the platform of a ‘festival for new music’ any longer, he clearly just loves the atmosphere of the festival and that makes his performance all the more charming, with a genuine love and appreciation to be there.

Turner’s performance saw the venue overflowing, audiences to the back of the street of the venue watching through the windows, making it a grand moment for Turner.

Performing with just an acoustic guitar, this stripped back set was an opportunity for his dedicated fans from across the globe to have the best sing along they might ever have the opportunity to have with Turner, up close and personal.

Turner performed at SXSW just weeks ahead of the release of his new album ‘Be More Kind,’ the title track to which was a huge hit at the festival. Taking a satirical approach to the state of American politics, the song sees one of the rare times where he turns to the topic of politics. However, by taking the light hearted approach that he does to it, it still leaves a smile on the audiences face.
