Bad Pony | SXSW Top 25

You might just be chilling in SXSW’s Australian BBQ for some free food, but then when Bad Pony start playing, you would have to drop everything as this is a band who you cannot take your eyes or ears off of them. Their power of their energy and top quality music takes over the room within seconds.

First off, lead singer Jarred is playing some funky drum beats whilst delivering impressive falsettos, (and barefoot). Everything about his entire stage presence makes you lock eyes with the band, whether it was down to his yellow trousers or the dance movements, or the charming chemistry undoubtedly shared amongst the band.

The songwriting of the band too doesn’t go unnoticed. Most popular songs and personal favourites is their catalogue songs, 2016 hit ‘Sideways,’ and 2015’s ‘Down To You,’ however the band’s newer releases do not slip in quality, as their latest release ‘Knife’ sees a heavier focus on guitar riffs too, showing the band to be multi-faceted in their musical abilities.

They’re already one of Australia’s favourites Ones to Watch, make sure you hop on this wave and join their journey as they take over US and UK!
